I think i am terribly exhausted. I fell asleep in my lovely bed last night with my uniform and my makeup and hair still intact. i cant believe how tired i was. ANd i spent my friday night at home sleeping. Thankfully i didnt have a huge breakout this morning.

Anyway, the photos are here as promised. As i mentioned in the earlier entries, my camera died on me half way in SFO. Thus i couldnt take much photos(some of them are in my disposable camera which i haven process them out yet). So below are the few left..

My trip started out with me meeting up with the some of my class gals in narita. So there's isabelle, miki, esther and me! 4 of us, just right for the perfect dinner.. thus we braced the cold wind in the night and struggled to the 105yen sushi shop, somewhere near Aeon. The wind almost froze us up!

There's what i ate for my dinner. OMG. It was sooo delicious!!

And den the next day we all splited ways..in all different directions. Miki went to vegas, esther went saigon and isabelle went new york while i headed to san francisco. I was glad that i met up with maybelle and had our lunch at this restaurant.

So skip the whole day of activities.. and to the 2nd day. I went out with the jap crew to alcatraz!!! After getting our tickets, we headed for breakfast. And heres what i got for my breakfast.....

wahahahah! that explains my figure now. lol!!!

and finally we stepped onto the little island.
Alcatraz used to be a military site(or rather for army usage) and den they turned it into a prison. It used to house the most serious crimes prisoners because its believed that nobody can escape Alcatraz. Even though its not very far from the mainland, the icy water and the high security made it hard for the prisoners to escape(though a few tried and failed and some just simply disappeared). Because of the beautiful views from the island, the prisoners face "mental torture". They would look out from their prison and stare at the beautiful lively mainland. its so near yet so far. If they didnt commit the crime, they would be on that side of the island, enjoying their freedom. Sounds sad. After years, they decided that its no longer suitable to be a prison and closed it down. Few years later, native american indians occupied the land and claimed that its theirs. But it was also not long before they left the island. Now, its a national park where thousands visit it daily to experience the history of the park. Hollywood has also produced various films about this island. e.g. the rock(which i didnt know exist before this. hee)



So we all joined the audio guided tour of the prison. We were each given a tape and ear piece in our prefered language and it took us indiviually around the prison.

This is the isolation prison cell. It sent creeps and chills. Prisoners are isolated in this cell for days and weeks without any entertainment and in complete darkness. OMG. i think i will go insane! Its so creepy that i didnt dare to walk into that particular cell 11. I am not sure why though.

Though the prison wasnt very spooky, but in the audio tour, it guided us to this prison where officers and prisoners were shot to death right on the spot during attempt escape. *chill* I enjoyed the guided tour alot because i felt as if i went back to those times. Imagine prisoners in the cell, the whole attempt escape happened right where i was on, etc etc. The prisoners feelings, the officers feelings..

We spent around 2 hours on the island before heading back. I wana go alcatraz again if i have the chance! i wana join the spooky evening tour and explore the island! Anyway, we took this shot on the way back.

this two taiwanese guys took the photo for us. Taiwanese usually go quite gaga over japanese mah. So we chatted up for a while. But didnt say much..just said that it was our 2nd day there and we were leaving the next day. didnt reveal why we were there alsoI dont know why but i notice that most of us dont really reveal that) And u know what!? hahahahhahahaa.. one of the guys came onto our flight the next day!!! OMG. i had such a big shock!! He actually took our flight to narita. lol!!!! omg omg omg. he was in the E compt but none of us noticed or recognised him. Before he left, he walked past me and said, "i will remember u, i have ur picture!" i didnt know what he meant until the rest told me that he was the same guy who took photo for us the day before. What a small world! hehehe..


And den this photo. Noticed that man there with that two huge leaves infront of him. I didnt know he's famous until i complained to my bro abt an incident. manz.. we were walking towards starbucks on our way back. I was talking to hoshi san when i noticed the bushes thing moving and suddenly he pretended to pounce on us. Both of us screamed out loud! And everyone around us started laughing. manz.. so embarassing!! hahahahhahaa... this guy here had been doing this for 30 years and hes famous for it! i didnt know it at all!!! omg.. so i met something famous in SFO. hehehe..
