Have been trying to contend with my lousy health and my hectic work load. Fell sick continiously for 2 flights already. One after another, but both times were still managable. Last trip i almost caught a flu, this trip i caught it, now down with a very bad throat, bad cough, and almost got a fever. But of course, i am still struggling to complete my flights and awaiting for the day i can return home. Not going to drop flights. No no. No way. Cannot do that to myself, my responsibilities and my pocket. Drop flight=schedule change and empty pocket. And once i start i know i wont stop.
The weather in most of my destinations are all very cold now. When i was in New York, i almost froze on the street. I was so looking forward to seeing snow. But to my dismay, the snow flakes were replaced by rain drops. What lousy luck i have got isnt it?
Despite the harsh weather and my poor health condition, i feast on junk food again(adding on to my already bad throat). Slept through my first day, and went to watch a musical on Broadway on the 2nd. It was awesome! My first official authentic broadway musical-The phantom of the Opera! The musical reminded me of the times when i participated in 2 musicals(prince of egypt n joseph n the magic tecnicolor coat). I must say that our musical director mr quey was good. He transformed us, all the students into talents! hahaa. Thinking back, it must have been a very tough job for him! But it was great fun. I miss singing so much. Now i cant sing anymore. Try asking me to croak, i think i can do a better job.
Together with my junior Rachel, we watched the musical at majestic theater. Not a very big huge theater unlike our esplanade. But the props, the singers, the performers were all very professional. It was a very different experience from the movie. Their singing style are different too. Think that was the opera style? We caught the night musical, it was freezing cold but the streets were packed with theater-goers. It was very entertaining but i must admit that i nearly fell asleep during the midst of the show. I was really (truthfully!) suffering from jet lag. Haven sleep well at all for this whole trip. Woke up at wierd hours, like 3am in the morning when i slept at 12am.wth. Its really true jet lag. I didnt know i suffer from jet lag! Anyway, the performers knew their parts very well but i think they knew it so well that it didnt give the exciting feeling that i expected. Was it me or was it the musical? oh well. ok jet lag. =x Pics when i m back, on sunday. Damn, i have to duty back. Why must they always give me such taihan patterns?
And anyway, besides bursting my money on the musical, i burst all my cash at the Victoria Secrets semi annual sales. Sorry guys, i didnt get anything for u guys because i lost my card. I could only use my cash. I got a PINK cami, sleeping pants, undies, Angel black bra, black lacy sleeping dress. I think thats all i got and i almost didnt have a single cent for my breakfast! Hehehe.. i am so in love with VS! i wish their sales can last longer! Last till i go LA for my next trip!! I didnt even dare to walk into any of the other shops to see if they have any post xmas n new yr sales. I was so broke.
Very looking forward to coming back. Spoke on the phone with jack for these past few days. Time to TRY to get some rest! its 2.30am n i cant sleep, even after a 14hs flt. damn.
You've got the poison,
I've got the remedy.
