So sick so sick. My throat is freakin sore, my cough doesnt stop, and my body's aching all over. Signs of falling ill? Yah i guess so. oh no.

I hate singapore service. Its so ironic. They treats tourist so much better than locals. What? Locals dont have spending power?! Or you think I dont have spending power? I walked around town yesterday and almost all the shop assistant pissed me off! I was sooooooo angry! I cant believe there's no service AT ALL!

Situation 1:
I wanted to try on some clothes at Wisma. The shop assistant has been busy standing there chatting with this other AUNTIE ever since i step in. They dont even bother to serve me AT ALL! WTF! So i thought nvm, she was just trying to give me space while i shop. When i brought the clothes to her to tell her(its courtesy) that i want to try those clothes on, and i gave her this "Pls remove the clothes from the hangers for me" look, She didnt even bother abt me, just point to the changing room and went back to her AUNTIE conversation. WTH! You're not paid to chit chat yah?! You are paid to service CUSTOMERS!

Situaton 2:
Also at wisma. As its a lazy day out, i was only clad in a tee from aeropostale, a skirt from charlotte roose, flats from VNC and a denim bag from saigon. From head to toe, i dont cost more than $100 and i must admit that i look quite young. I dont have to dress old everyday right! I can once in a while look like a teenager. I dont want to waste my teenager hood. Cant i?! So i pranced around in that shop. They have a dozen of sales assistants in that shop. Their service is much better than most. They greet customers when they come in, and stood besides the customers when they shop(but carefully make sure that they are not a nuisance. Isnt that service? yes.) Compliments for them until they DIDNT serve ME! i tried to get their attention. i wanted to try on the suit(which isnt expensive at all!) but nobody bother abt me at all! And they were very unfriendly when they serve me. What a big difference between their service for me and their service for other old woman over there. Hello! Just because i am dressed simply doesnt mean that i dont have spending power! I am still a consumer! I have the right to ask for service! Argh! So angry!

Yes, so i spent the day shopping and felt really angry. Their attitude really turns me off. I didnt even feel like spending my money in their shop! Makes me feel like its a waste of my time.

However, when i went to the duty free galleria shop, its all a different case. The sales girl assisted me with all my question and was very friendly. The reception girl greeted me by my name(omg i was so delighted!), and looked at me in the eye to thank me. Some of the staffs from the other brands smile at me when i walked past. Even when i was dressed really simply and walked into the branded stores like LV, they greeted me and made me feel very welcome. This is what i call service! You're paid to serve, not paid to stand around and pretend to be pretty(when you're absolutely NOT).

Just in case you didnt notice, the good service was found at DFS galleria. That store mainly caters to foreign tourist. See, aint i right that they treats tourist better than locals? Sporeans always want to present a good impression for tourist, so that they will come back again. But what about Singaporeans ourselves? Dont we need service? Dont we deserve to be serve in a worthy manner even if we are clad in brandless stuffs?

And the ironic thing is, when i go overseas, as a foreigner, i realise that the service i receive are sometimes not as good as the locals there. This is the difference between spore and other countries. They dont always treat you better just because you're a foreigner. Either they dont give a damn, or because you're not local, you may encounter a different level of service. I still somehow feel that racism/countrism(no such word, i know.) is still in the air across the gobe(oppppps). i hope i am not breaking any law here. I didnt mention any names of the countries, eh?
