After my Berlin adventure, i impulsively hopped onto a train to Prague which is in czech republic. I was supposed to come here when i was 15 or 16 but the plan got cancelled because of the 911 thingy. Oh well.. but after close to ten years, i finally made my way here. I said it was impulsive because it was not part of my travel plans at all. I just talked to people and they told me they are coming to prague and i decided, "hey why not?" 6 hours later, i was in prague.

The train ride was made less boring with my companion and my beer. We were lucky to secure the whole cabin to ourselves so we could put our legs everywhere and lay down!

I ended up at one of the smaller train stations at prague. It was deserted. I was kinda scared. I then realised that i forgot to record down the name of my hostel! Lucky me somehow managed to find my way with the help of the information counter attendent. So i finally got to my hostel at evening. Golden sickle is a nice hostel is this old 100 yr old building which looks a little spooky when there's nobody walking around. I day dreamed of the people with their old long dresses 100 years ago living in each and everyt rooms. In the middle of the hostel is this courtyard where tables and chairs were arranged in the day to allow fellow travellers to sit and chat and drink or read. There's a pub right at the entrance that sells prettu cheap beer so beer was available everyday. almost every hour in fact. hehe Enjoyed this hostel the most because i met the most amt of fun ppl there!

While unpacking, i chatted up with my barbara in my hostel and went party in this 5 storeys club walking distance from our hostel. They left the next early morning! So sad!

Oh the food there is dumplings and smoked PORK NECK. hmm.. Taste alot like any smoked meat lah.

the club was right opposite the prague castle which looks so stunning at night!

struggled to wake up the next day early to go sightsee by myself. visited the castlel, jewish quarter, the square..etc.

And then i stumbled upon a toy exhibition in the castle and i love every single toy there!!!

I think that barbie is the reason for the blue e/s and red lipstick these days. hm.

There are so many barbies. There's even a pregnant barbie but its so wrong for the kids to think they open up the stomach to get the baby out! Humph!

The first ever barbie is that pinkie one. Originates from Germany but there were so many negative responses that it wasnt very popular and was eventually bought over by american company and made famous!

I didnt see any stewardess. Why only pilot?

The irish guys i met the day i was supposed to check out and ended up missing the train all thx to the receptionist and had to spend an extra day in prague. yah and so thats the story abt me missing the train in the earlier blog.

and then i somehow got onto the train the next day to embark onto the longer journey to krakow, poland. Yea stay tune for more pics!
